For the Veterinarian
1. Call or email VVC to set up an appointment day and time and fill out a procedure request form. Forms can be filled out on-line and emailed to VVC, or can be printed out and made available the day of the appointment. Contact us now to schedule an appointment.
2. Pets should have food withheld for 12 hours and water for a few hours prior to an ultrasound exam, unless there is medical necessity (i.e. a diabetic patient or a patient in renal failure should not have water restriction).
3. Please have the pet dropped off at your clinic at least one hour before the procedure is scheduled, and have the owner fill out the consent form. If the owner chooses to wait while procedures are performed, they will need to remain in the waiting room during the procedure.
4. A recent platelet count is required prior to sampling procedures.
5. Ultrasound and Internal medicine consultation reports are generated within 24 hours and can be discussed in person at the time of the assessment. Results are communicated with the referring veterinarian directly.
6. Some procedures may require an assistant from your practice. An area to perform necessary procedures will be provided by your clinic.
7. Clinics are billed directly for services, and the clinics themselves are responsible for establishing the final fees charged to the clients
